Back in 2019, we blogged about the issue of antiquated policies that centered around required notifications being sent to known abandoned properties or even to a deceased individual. Independent of the waste of time and money, the (unnecessary) delays can be extensive.
Unfortunately, a recent example hit the local media. The headline speaks for itself “Baltimore County Code Enforcement Trying to Contact the Dead”.
Obviously, the optics are not optimal.
