Governor’s veto has been overturned
KY SB 105 was vetoed. Now Mayor Greg Fischer and most likely many others are trying to overturn the veto. “Fischer’s administration said the conservatorship model works in other states.”
That should be enough. As long as the correct safeguards are in place conservatorship is a valuable tool. Local governments need all proven tools at their disposal.
Whether its conservatorships or a vacant/rental registry, if it works elsewhere it will work for you.
Update: On 3/29/2021, the veto was overruled.
