A federal judge has vacated the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention moratorium to prevent tenants from losing their homes for not paying their rent due to the economic and health ramifications of the coronavirus pandemic.

“Other federal judges, including one in Cleveland, had previously ruled that the CDC exceeded its authority when it issued the moratorium. Wednesday’s order, however, appears to be the first time a federal judge vacated the order and applied it to the entire country, as other judges haven’t made explicitly clear how broad their orders applied.”
